Aubrey Jambe was a member of the croquet team, the Swindon Mallets, and after Roger Kapok resigned under pressure from Goliath Corporation, he became captain and led them to victory in the 1988 Superhoop. Thursday Next and several Neanderthals including Stiggins were also on the team.
A few years earlier, just before the events of Lost in a Good Book, there had been an incident with a chimp.
